There are usually 2 or 3 screws holding the cover on. This is the part that you have to be careful about. If you damage the cover, you’ll have to replace it.
Remove the screws by unscrewing the cover from the frame. The screws are located in the middle of the cover. And if you do it carefully, they shouldn’t break at all.
The screws are held together with a spring clip. Remove the screw from the bottom of the cover.
Now the spring clip should come off easily.
You can remove the compressor with the spring clip attached.
If you don’t want to take off the compressor, simply remove the spring clip. Then use a towel or something else to prevent the compressor from falling out.
